Kari Spears
I am originally from Central Arkansas and have lived in NWA since 2004. I have worked in the mental health field since 2006. My post-masters background is in medical social work, higher education, and therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who are exploring their sense of self, developing their voice, and growing in confidence through setting boundaries. I am an assertive person with a good sense of humor and a thick accent.
You can laugh, cry, and process all the feels in session.

I am a generalist clinician in that I pull from a variety of modalities, as it's not a one-size-fits-all process.
My main approaches include CBT, Mindfulness, and ACT.
I utilize a white board and worksheets to supplement discussion, as there are a variety of ways to process and learn.
I will challenge you in session to reach for your goals. I couple empathy with assertiveness.
